The Houston Chronicle reports that the National Council of La Raza has launched a site to counter anti-immigrant " hate speech" engaged in by politicians and pundits.

The website itself is located at www.wecanstopthehate.org

From the Chron article:

Murguia said La Raza wanted executives at Fox, CNN and MSNBC "to take the hate and vigilante groups off the air." And, she asked for political candidates to pledge "to renounce hate speech and sever their ties with ... hate groups.

In particular, Murguia singled out:

• CNN's Lou Dobbs, who she said "routinely provides a platform for vilifying immigrants on his 'Broken Borders' segment," a regular feature on Dobbs' nightly broadcast.
• MSNBC commentator Pat Buchanan, who has written a book denouncing illegal immigration.
• Radio and TV personality Glenn Beck, who once described on-air a fake ad created by a listener about fuel made from the bodies of illegal Mexican immigrants.

What a back stabber Janet Murguia is. She has been on Dobb's program many times and has been nice to his face, even though they disagreed on the illegal immigration issue. Now she is trying to shut him down? Typical raza mindset. Silence the opposition. Dobbs doesn't make racist remarks about anyone on his show. He merely speaks the truth about illegal immigration.

Anyone have an unabridged Spanish dictionary handy? I do. With etymology. In our open American society, the wonder is that an organization calling itself the "National Council of the Race" can pretend to call out others for "hate mongering." Care to exlain it me? Pleae, do. English or Spanish will work.

In other news, Mr. David Duke issued a press release announcing a campaign to "stop the hate speech" directed at white southern men who like to dress in sheets and pointed hats. . .

PS -- I learned a funny thing about the National Council of The Race. I Googled it -- just that way, in English -- and not with the National Council of La Raza. And guess what happens? The very first listing in the search function that comes up is La Raza's website. For that to happen the webmaster would have had to submit that term to the search engines. So even La Raza's web master acknowledges that their name means The National Council of the Race in English. . .for all their folderal claiming it means "the people."
