Lou Dobbs for President?

Now that Tancredo is out of the race, it seems the anti-illegal immigration electorate is trying to draft another man to take his place: Lou Dobbs.

What do you make of this? Would Dobbs be a good candidate? A viable one? What does this say about his role as a television anchor?

I would support Lou for president. With Tommy T out of the race, he is the only strong voice left that truly stands up for native-born Americans.

Ridiculous. He'll go the same way of Tancredo. More interesting, though, Daniela, is your question on what this says about his role as a television anchor: it shows just how biased and inflammatory his "reporting" is.

I don't think he is presidential material but can't be much worse than W. I think head of INS would be a better fit for him.

The only one in the field who really is qualified -- on paper, at least -- is Richardson who has both domestic and foreign experience. Unfortunately, he seems to be running for the presidency of Mexico rather than that of the US. Lou is no less qualifed than a former Presidential spouse, nor a greenhorn Senator whose main political experience comes from being a state legislator from Illinois. He at least would keep the other guys focused on the people they are running to "represent", unlike the others who are tripping all over themselves to show their loyalty to Mexican drug cartels, illegal alien foreign nationals, Chinese financiers, Arab port operators, and Indian outsourcers.

You know I find it amusing how much the pro-illegals have such a rabid hatred of Lou Dobbs. It shows just how greedy and childish and intolerant/tyrannical they really are. They have the entire MSM in their back pocket. They have the three top newspapers in the country, WaPo, NYT, and LAT, pumping out pro-illegal alien "editorials" and "reportage" (i.e. sob stories) in countless numbers, week in, week out. On the other side of this enormous barrage, there's just Lou Dobbs, holding his finger in the dyke like the Little Dutch Boy. One person. That's all. And they can't stand it. They can't stand the fact that there is one small voice standing up to their endless barrage of sob stories, lies, Orwellian word-twistings and propaganda. It kind of shows a hint of Stalinist leanings of the pro-illegals, doesn't it?

Thanks to Lou Dobbs, Mayor Lou Barletta and Congressman Sensenbrenner thousands of hate websites have sprung up against Hispanics some even calling for the killing of Hispanics. They have been a part of a hate-propaganda movement against all Hispanics Faithful to Lou Dobbs, the American neo-Nazis have picked out and specifically targeted Hispanics. Lou Dobbs in his daily TV show has painted Hispanics as criminals and a burden to American society. Throughout the last three years his show has painted Hispanics as America's "misfortune" and prophesied a time of reckoning. A new report says that the number of hate websites against Hispanics has grown since 2000. Even more worrying, however, is that since January 2003, the number of death threats now against Hispanics has risen. Death threats have been received since "La Gran Marcha" that took place in Los Angeles against elected and community leaders of Mexican descent. It was reported that among the leaders receiving death threats was Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villargairosa. Recently, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger reported that Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante also has received death threats
