See a CNN slideshow of Latinos who are changing the face of America, including MATT.org's own Executive director Lionel Sosa, who founded the largest Hispanic advertising agency in the U.S., and is also an accomplished painter, author, and consultant.

Others who made the list?

Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico and Democratic presidential hopeful

Gloria Estefan, Cuban-born entertainer who fled her home country in 1959 as a 2-year-old with her family

Jose Gomez, Archbishop of San Antonio, Texas

Pedro Alvarado, former undocumented immigrant and current head of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network

Mel Martinez, Cuban-born Republican Senator from Florida

Robert Rodriguez, Mexican-American filmmaker and created of "El Mariachi", "Sin City", and many other films

Jorge Ramos, Univision news anchor

Anthony Romero, Puerto Rican Director of the American Civil Liberties Union

Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, pioneering "chica lit" author

Alex Rodriguez, Domincan-American Yankees slugger

Franklin Chang-Diaz, Costa Rican-born astronaut

We don't want the face of our country changed anymore than Mexico wants the face of their country changed.

You are advocating the "Do as the Mexicans do" approach. We know Mexico. And they know we know Mexico. Despite our awareness, you should brace yourself for accusations "racism" and "xenophobic". They will call you everything except a person against illegal aliens (they don't recognize the words "illegal alien" ...it's too accurate and destroys their pipe dream). Oh the irony. LOL

And who are these people who are "changing America? A point-by-point comparison

Bill Richardson, Governor of New Mexico and Democratic presidential hopeful

Comment: A racist Mexican nationalist who cares more about the interests of "la raza" than about all Americans or about our country. As governor of NM, he presided over one of the states with the worst scores in poverty, education, and living standards, and did nothing to change them. Not a contributor.

Gloria Estefan, Cuban-born entertainer who fled her home country in 1959 as a 2-year-old with her family

Comment: Okay, she's pretty and she sings in English. Not bad. A contributor.

Jose Gomez, Archbishop of San Antonio, Texas

Never heard of him, but I bet he's a racist Mexican nationalist more concerned with filling his pews with as many members of "la raza" as possible than with our country or other Americans. Probably not a contributor.

Pedro Alvarado, former undocumented immigrant and current head of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network

Comment: A racist Mexican nationalist who is devoted to "la raza" not to the US or all Americans. Also a criminal. Not a contributor to our country in any way, shape or form.

Mel Martinez, Cuban-born Republican Senator from Florida

Comment: A racist Hispanic nationalist more devoted to "la raza" than to the US or all Americans. Paid Americans who granted him refuge from Castro back by attacking our language and culture, and by working for open borders with Mexico. Not a contributor, but a detractor.

Robert Rodriguez, Mexican-American filmmaker and created of "El Mariachi", "Sin City", and many other films

Comment: Okay, he sounds like a contributor.

Jorge Ramos, Univision news anchor

Comment: A racist Mexican nationalist who only has a job because many Hispanics in the US refuse to learn English. Not a contributor to the US in any way.

Anthony Romero, Puerto Rican Director of the American Civil Liberties Union

Pro-open borders loon working for the good of "his people" not for our country or all Americans. Not a contributor.

Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez, pioneering "chica lit" author

Comment: Is "chica lit" just for Hispanics? Then I don't think she's a contributor.

Alex Rodriguez, Domincan-American Yankees slugger

Comment: I don't follow baseball, but I would guess, he is a contributor.

Franklin Chang-Diaz, Costa Rican-born astronaut

Comment: Okay, I would bet, he is a contributor.

Hope my HTML tags work, sorry if they don't.

Miss Irene, Why didn't you mention Rosann Pulido, Illinois leader of the Minutemen and Midwest/Mountain state coordinator for FAIR? Why didn't you mention the many others of Mexican/Hispanic ancestry who don't fit your stereotype. I've known literally thousands of Mexicans (legal and illegal). Very few of them subscribe to any part of LaRaza. I'd estimate under 1% from the northern states of Mexico and under 10% even from Chiapas. Of course, in the US educated Mexican media and academia, it is probably closer to 30%.
