Across the pond, UK considers immigration amnesty

Of interest to people following the immigration debate here in the United States is the fact that the idea of a "pay-to-stay" amnesty for all undocumented immigrants in Britain is being considered. From Politics.co.uk—

CentreForum says a £5,000 fee, to be paid in five annual instalments, should be considered to help solve the problem of Britain's illegal immigrants.

It believes already scarce resources need to be targeted at those who pose a "genuine security threat" and that earned amnesty is a viable solution for those who deserve to stay.

Report co-author Will Somerville said security, social cohesion and prosperity would all improve if the move was pushed through.

"Deporting all Britain's illegal immigrants is impossible. Any rational approach to the problem must involve some form of regularisation," he said.

"The best way to do this is through an earned amnesty."

Those opposed to deportation of illegals tend to express their opposition in terms of extremes. The deportation of Britain's illegals is not impossible once one accepts that fact that it doesn't have to be done overnight. I am again reminded that over 8 million ethnic Germans were deported from the Eastern Territories in less than a year in 1945-6. They were not especially well-treated and the Brits don't need to use that particular model except as proof that the job can be done and that Britain would be better off without the illegals and their homelands would be better off if they returned with some enlightened ideas on how a country ought to be run. Giving up on the idea of deportation of illegals is the same as giving up on the idea that "There will always be a Britain". Those who are present legally need to be better integrated into British society but that is as far as they should go. This could be the biggest mistake of all time and would sound the death knell for what's left of the British Empire.

Bad example, Daniela. The UK is on the verge of a civil war because of the abuses of the Labour government which has allowed unprecedented mass immigration into the country within only 11 years since they took power. Crime in the UK is horrendous and most of the perpetrators are not indigengous British people. It is not too long before the native British explode and when they do, things will get very, very ugly indeed.
